THE SMASHING PUMPKINS & The OCCULT ; SHATTERING FAST, ALCHEMICAL GLASS | Analysis of the alchemical, the occult, and the esoteric within the expansive body of work of The Smashing Pumpkins. An initial focus upon the Machina mystery, and the symbolism of Vasily Kafanov's plate artworks, along with resources, materials and mini-essays pertaining to the mythic band "Glass and the Machines of God". Gradually expanding in future updates to a much less linear construction, including articles not bound by any particular era constraint.

The Occult / Artistic Imagery, Influences and Samples of Trent Reznor & Nine Inch Nails. The following is a collection of various findings, parallels and evocations I've found independently over the years which have appeared throughout Nine Inch Nails' works. Audio and video influences, video clips of samples used within 'The Downward Spiral', occult imagery in the Eraser / Dissonance tour t-shirts, and the original source inspirations of the 'Closer' video.

The Occult Imageries, Evocations & Allusions by Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Jhonn Balance of Coil. Coil is without a doubt one of the most progressive, esoteric and influential groups of all time, as well as a personal favourite of the author, with a lifespan of nearly 3 decades. The group, particularly John Balance, was incredibly deep in the occult and esoteric. The following is a brief outline of much of the imagery the group have utilized.

In cooperation with Markus Lion of Absinthe.de, creator of Mansinthe, a promotional minisite on The NACHTKABARETT on the new line of absinthe, Manson's past evocations of the emerald spirit and the history behind it's insidious active ingredient, Wormwood. As early as 1998 when he first delved fully into painting, Marilyn Manson has been one of the world's most notorious connoisseurs of the legendary spirit, absinthe. First referenced heavily as being integral to the creation process of 2000's Holy Wood, it was 2003's Golden Age of Grotesque as Manson's homage to art, expressionism, and Weimar era "Degenerate" Art where Manson could scarcely be seen without a milky glass of the green spirit as his accessory.

A, relatively, old essay / discourse of mine after delving into the occult for a couple of years. Written in the last quarter of 2002 in a literature college course I hated but attempted to make the best of.
In a sense it set the tone for what would become The NACHTKABARETT a little less than 2 years later. To my knowledge, now as well as then, this is an approach and parallelism to Nietzsche's philosophy which has not been touched upon.
